I came back on here to edit my review about Aurora. Aurora Recovery Centre not only saved mine & my partner’s lives in January 2024. We both attended together, and it was an amazing experience because our relationship became stronger, and we are now past nine months sober and more to come! We were in such a bad place in our lives this time of last year. All the hurt and pain from addiction, feeling helpless and not worthy. Thankfully in January we knew we needed to change our lives, not only for ourselves but for our daughter. So we attended Aurora and it was the best decision we’ve both made, we still talk about our stay at Aurora and its always positive. Thank you Aurora, I can finally say we have our daughter back in our full custody, full time jobs, and we can give her the life that she deserves. We will be forever grateful for this facility. Aurora Recovery Centre provided me with the tools to overcome my addictions. Upon arriving at Aurora I was lost felt like I was close to death. The period I spent in detox I was well cared for the detox staff were extremely friendly, making sure I was safe by checking up on my health and well being. Upon entering primary Client Care Specialist showed me around the he facility explaining what and where everyone was so I would feel comfortable in my surroundings. The clients greeted me with respect, helpede navigate around the facility. Group sessions, teachings about the big book, daily activities, one on one counseling sessions were the key to my recovery

I’m currently in extended care, first of all I read the reviews and as for the negative reviews-they came from people who came in with a closed mind, were forced to come here or were kicked out for breaking rules. I was as far gone as anyone can get, Aurora didn’t just change my life it saved it. I recommend this place to everyone with an addiction, the people are wonderful, the councillors care. They know what it is like to be in the problem and how great it is to recover* the place itself is beautiful! The program works!
