A Message from Paul Melnuk, Founder and Chairman
I know the power of recovery from firsthand experience. I witnessed thousands of alcoholics and addicts of all kinds, with and without co-occurring mental health disorders, change their lives for the better, restore their relationships and become healthy and productive members of their communities. I have also seen people die from the ravages of addiction and mental health disorders. At Aurora, we strive to arrest the latter and achieve the former.
I believe wholeheartedly that a successful business is built on the principle of serving its customers better than anyone else in its industry. At Aurora, we have created an environment that attracts, retains and motivates the most caring, compassionate, committed and capable team members who do all they can to serve our members needs. This is the core of our culture.
I have had an extensive and rewarding career in which I have led a number of multi-billion-dollar, international public companies and also many smaller, privately held businesses. My experience spans across a variety of industries including addiction treatment. I have been involved in turnaround situations, high growth, and A-rated companies. I am deeply passionate about recovery as it has profoundly affected my life, and all for the better. I have had many successes, faced many challenges, which has given me a wealth of experiences.
Aurora is establishing a new standard in the treatment industry. We do everything possible to help our members begin and support their journey of recovery for life. Please come and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Purpose and Philosophy
We help people heal from the chronic disease of addiction and mental health disorders, stay clean and sober and maintain healthy relationships so that they become active in recovery for life.
Our treatment process is built upon a member-first culture and stands on three pillars that reflect our philosophy toward our members’ recovery: Heal, Connect and Recover. These pillars guide the process in which we heal our members’ minds, bodies and spirits, reconnect them with their true selves and their community and provide them with the tools they need to recover for life.
